James is passionate about bringing down the cost of housing and tackling overcrowded homes. James has also worked in campaigns protecting young people against spiking, and is passionate about making our nightlife industry a safe-place for all, while also promoting its re-growth in the city. Other areas of passion include tackling climate change, making our estates safe and clean, and promoting better pay for Oxford residents.

In addition to his council work, James is a keen campaigner in favour of Trans Rights.

James lives with PoTS, a condition he now manages with medication, but previously had a heavy impact on his life. Outside of the council James works in management in retail.

James is a big fan of Doctor Who, walks around Oxfordshire’s countryside, and rock and metal music.
