Devolution
Following the CEB meeting on 15 December 2016 –
Council is recommended to supports in principle the submission of a devolution bid with a governance model based on the current two-tier structure for local government with a combined authority and elected mayor.

Public consultation in summer 2016.
There have been a number of consultations with key stakeholders on a one to one basis and a number of stakeholder events, including businesses, voluntary and community groups and other or other key stakeholders.
There have been regular newsletters and bulletin updates on the website. There is an e-mail address for people to send us their views.
There will be further public engagement following the publication of the Study.
