Investigation and Disciplinary Committee

Purpose of committee

The Investigation and Disciplinary Committee is responsible for recommending to Council any proposal to dismiss the Chief Executive, Monitoring Officer or Chief Finance Officer (the “Statutory Officers”). Any disciplinary action against a Statutory Officer short of dismissal is the responsibility of the Investigation and Disciplinary Committee. The Investigation and Disciplinary Committee is responsible for dismissing other senior officers.

Number of Councillors: 4 including at least 1 member of Cabinet (substitutes permitted)

Quorum: 3, including at least 1 member of Cabinet

Frequency: as required
