Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licenses - Regulation of Numbers
The Council’s policy on quantity control of hackney carriage vehicles needs updating every three years. The General Purposes Licensing Committee recommendation of May 2013 to the Board is that there is no “unmet demand” for the services of hackney carriages and that no new hackney carriage licences should be issued. The Board will be recommended to recommend Council accordingly.
