21/10/2024 - To award the Lift Consultancy to Frankham Consultancy Ltd. ref: 2590 Recommendations Approved
The technical team require the support of a lift consultant engineer to carry out condition reports of all Oxford City Councils existing passenger lifts and a proportion of stair and platform lifts.
We require this expertise to understand the remaining life expectancy of the stock and then to develop and prioritise a lift replacement programme.
When the condition surveys are completed, any lifts requiring lift replacement the successful lift consultant will the prepare designs and specification for tendering of the identified lift providing project management for the lift replacement.

30/10/2024 - Approval of the Council into a JCT with Serco Operations Limited to deliver works required on the Leisure Portfolio. ref: 2577 Recommendations Approved
During the contract process for the new Leisure Operator Contract the Council included the provision for the Council to require the Leisure Operator to undertake dilapidation works that the Council would fund. This requires the parties to enter into a JCT contract but this was not appended to in the contract and decision arrangements. As such there is a need to contract under the JCT to enable the works and the payment for the works. Entering this JCT is required to allow the Council and the Leisure Operator to fulfil their obligations under the Leisure Operator Contract.

To authorise the transfer by purchase by Oxford City Council of the complete property and refurbished home at 15 Kempson Crescent delivered through the OCHDL Extensions programme. Contributing to the Councils overall Affordable Housing provision.

29/10/2024 - Oxford Burial Meadow – Partial Surrender of Farm Tenancy ref: 2574 Recommendations Approved
The decision will achieve the partial surrender of a farm tenancy that will return control of land back to Oxford City Council. This will in turn, subject to planning consent being obtained, allow a burial meadow to be developed on the land owned by Oxford City Council.
A licence is also to be completed with the tenant farmer to enable him to maintain those parts of the land not required for the surveys that are to be completed in advance of the planning application being determined.
