Resolved, in accordance with the provisions of Section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972 to exclude the press and public from the meeting during consideration of the item on the exempt from publication part of the agenda on the grounds that their presence could involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act, and to record that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information in order that discussions and deliberations of the Committee with and about candidates for the post of Executive Director, City Regeneration were not compromised and so that the confidentiality of information provided by candidates was protected.
