Licensing and Gambling Acts Fees and Charges 2019/20 The Head of Community Services has submitted a report to seek agreement to the licence fees for 2019/20 where the Council has discretion over the level of fee charged.
Recommendation: That the Licensing & Gambling Acts Committee resolves to:
Agree the licence fees and charges for 2019/20 as set out in Appendix 1 and recommend them to Council. Additional documents: Minutes: The Head of Community Services had submitted a report to seek agreement to the licence fees for 2019/20 where the Council has discretion over the level of fee charged.
The Senior Licensing Officer introduced the report. In response to questions about lack of increase in fees he explained that the fees and charges set out in this report were either set by statute or subject to a statutory limit, Where there is discretion the fees must be reasonable and not exceed the costs associated with the provision.
The Chair noted that some increases had been made the previous year.
The Licensing & Gambling Acts Committee resolved to:
Agree the licence fees and charges for 2019/20 as set out in Appendix 1 and recommend them to Council.
