Exempt Matters If the Sub-Committee wishes to exclude the press and the public from the meeting during consideration of any aspects of the preceding or following agenda items it will be necessary for the Sub-Committee to pass a resolution in accordance with the provisions of Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 specifying the grounds on which their presence could involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as described in specific paragraphs of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act if and so long, as in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information. |

Failure to adhere to conditions and regulations pertaining to Private Hire Driver's Licence The Head of Environmental Development has submitted a report (attached) concerning failures to adhere to conditions and regulations pertaining to a Private Hire Driver’s licence held.
The Sub Committee is asked to take into account the details contained in the attached report and any representations made at the meeting, and:
(1) Determine whether the subject of the report remains a fit and proper person to hold a licence to drive Private Hire Vehicles;
(2) What action, if any, should be taken following his failures to adhere to the conditions and regulations pertaining to his Private Hire Driver’s licence.
