Report of the Executive Director, Community Services (attached)

The report provides an update on the progress of charging for discretionary services following the approval of the approach in a report to the Board on 21^st September 2011.

Recommendations

The Board is recommended to:-

(1)   Note the report;

(2)   Continue to support the recommendations agreed in the report of 21^st September 2011.

The Executive Director, Community Service, submitted a report which updated the City Executive Board on the progress of charging for discretionary services, following the approval of the approach in a report to CEB on 21^st September 2011.

Councillor Bob Price presented this report to the Board and explained its background.  Peter Sloman (Chief Executives) observed that many other public sector bodies wanted to trade with the Council, and that the Council had a long tradition of doing this.

(2)   Continue to support the recommendations agreed in the report to CEB given on 21^st September 2011.
