Award of Dry Recyclate Disposal Contract

Decision:

Contract awarded to Biffa Waste Management to provide a Local Waste Transfer Station and to Viridor to provide haulage and treatment of the City’s Dry Recyclate.

 

Expenditure approximately £1m per annum

Reasons for the decision:

The existing contractual arrangement ended on 5 October 2015.  The background to this decision was set out in the report presented at CEB Meeting 10 September 2015.

Alternative options considered:

Contract subject to a full OJEU open tender procurement process.
