Decision:
The Deputy Chief Executive decides as follows:
To purchase a 1-bedroom flat at 45B Wilkins Road, Oxford, OX4 2HY for a purchase price of £280,000, and to be allocated to LAHF 3 programme for Temporary Accommodation housing use.
Reasons for the decision:
In response the above, the decision has been made to use allocated LAHF 3 funds of £280,000 to purchase a one-bedroom flat at 45B Wilkins Road, Oxford, OX4 2HY.
Upon purchase the property is to be allocated for Temporary Accommodation use in order to provide a further additional affordable housing unit for the HRA, enabling a housing solution to the immediate housing need.
Alternative options considered:
A current decision is approved to allocate this purchase into the RRTBR 2025/26 programme for general needs use.
This alterative options provides an opportunity to provide a housing solution to address a more immediate housing need pressure.
