Housing Improvement Agency contract award
Decision Maker: Executive Director for Regeneration and Housing
Decision status: Recommendations approved
Is Key decision?: Yes
Is subject to call in?: No
Purpose:
On 9 July 2015 the City Executive Board resolved to GRANT delegated authority to the Executive Director of Regeneration and Housing, in consultation with the Head of Financial Services and Head of Law and Governance to enter into an appropriate contract for the provision of a Home Improvement Agency.
Decision:
Following negotiations the Home Improvement Agency Contract was signed and an agreement was made between Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City Council that Home Improvement Agency services would be delivered by Oxford City Council from 2015-2018 (with an option to extend for 2 years) for a fee of £70,354p.a. with potential variable costs of up to £112,000p.a.
Reasons for the decision:
Authority to enter into a contract was delegated to the Executive Director of Regeneration and Housing at the CEB meeting held on the 9th July 2015
Alternative options considered:
To not enter into a contract would have left Oxford’s residents without essential services and the Council would risk failing in its statutory duties to deliver disabled facilities grants.
