To mark the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022, to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
Alternative options considered:
Not to fly the Flag of Ukraine from the 1930s extension flagpole. This option was rejected due to the importance of marking the anniversary of the Russian invasion and showing solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
