Award of contract to Gamma Energy for Energy Superhub Oxford DC Charging
Decision Maker: Head of Corporate Strategy
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
Purpose:
Supply, installation, operation and maintenance of a minimum of 30 x charging bays at Redbridge Park and Ride under a concession contract.
Decision:
To award a contract to Gamma Energy for the provision of a minimum of 30 charging bays at Redbridge Park and Ride at zero cost to the Council for a contract period of 10 years.
Reasons for the decision:
The City Executive Board (now Cabinet) on 10 April 2019 resolved to delegate authority to the Transition Director, in consultation with the Heads of Finance and Law and Governance, to negotiate and award any further contracts necessary for the successful delivery of the [Energy Superhub Oxford] project.
The responsibilities of the Transition Director passed to the Head of Corporate Strategy in a restructure.
Alternative options considered:
The option to do nothing and choose not to deliver the programme was available, but was effectively ruled out after the City Executive Board decided to deliver the programme.
Signed off by senior officers:
Decision taken by Mish Tullar, Head of Corporate Strategy in consultation with Jane Winfield, Head of Corporate Property; Nigel Kennedy, Head of Financial Services; and Susan Sale, Head of Law and Governance.
