Purpose:
Localised repairs to the Gasworks railway bridge, Oxford.
Decision:
The decision was made to approve capital funding of £70,000 for the repairs to the corroded pipework under the bridge.
Reasons for the decision:
Corroded Pipes under the bridge are a Health & Safety risk.
Alternative options considered:
Consideration was given to removing the redundant pipes rather than repairing them, however as this is a listed structure Conservation wanted them to be repaired.
