Purpose:
Installation of dry riser system in the Town Hall.
Decision:
Following a feasibility study of the wet risers in the Town Hall, the decision was made to replace the wet riser with a dry risers system once list building consent is received.
The works will be undertaken by Oxford Direct Services, who were awarded the contract under Part 19.11(d) of the Council’s constitution.
The cost to undertake this projects is £190,000 and is based on a fixed price from the in-house delivery team Oxford Direct Services.
Alternative options considered:
The alternative options were limited because the existing wet risers had been identified as no longer fit for purpose and not capable of dealing with a fire fighting situation should one occur.
