Description
Objects
To advance education by establishing or maintaining at or near Oxford a house or residence or houses or residences in which adult students, whether men or women, may reside and study and to provide for the instruction of adult students in such fields of study as may be approved by the Council provided that the objects of the College shall be of charitable nature only.
Councillor Commitment
The Council’s representative will attend meetings of the Council of Ruskin College which meet twice a year, usually at the end of November/beginning of December for its AGM and again in late June/early July
Representatives should:
- Participate fully in the meetings, and might provide further assistance by serving on one of the reporting committees, or on the Governing Executive.
- Support the College’s mission within the City Council and the local community, spread the work about Ruskin’s activities and courses and support fund raising activities.
