The District Councils’ Network is a cross-party member led network of all 201 district councils in England. We are a Special Interest Group of the Local Government Association (LGA), and provide a national voice for district councils within the LGA. We lobby central government, the political parties and other stakeholders directly on behalf of our members, as well as commissioning research, providing support, and sharing best practice.

Councillor Commitment

We expect the elected representative to represent Oxford City Council at Assembly meetings and events. If they cannot attend they can nominate a substitute to stand in for them.

We would like the representative to engage wherever possible in the District Councils Network; this can include attending events or contributing to surveys/research.
