22/07/2019 - Clean Bus Technology Fund ref: 1708 Implemented
The Council has been awarded £671,550 of
funding from the Joint Air Quality Unit, DEFRA to retrofit buses in
Oxford with emissions reduction equipment, in the interest of
improving air quality. In May 2019 project approval was granted by
CEB and it was decided to Delegate to the Transition Director, in
consultation with the Monitoring Officer and Section 151 officer,
the authority within the funding envelope provided by the Council
to enter into: bid partners; and third parties required to deliver
the project subject to their being selected under an appropriate

The Committee considered an application (19/00715/CT3) for advertisement consent for the flying of various flags scheduled throughout the year from the mast above the 1930's extension of the Town Hall.
In reaching its decision, the Committee considered all the information put before it including the Planning Officer’s presentation.
After debate and on being proposed, seconded and put to the vote, the Committee agreed with the officer’s recommendation to approve the application.
The West Area Planning Committee resolved to:
- approve application19/00715/CT3 for the reasons given in the report and subject to the 5 required planning conditions set out in section 12 of the report and grant advertisement consent for the submitted flag flying schedule.
- delegate authority to the Acting Head of Planning Services to:
finalise the recommended conditions as set out in the report including such refinements, amendments, additions and/or deletions as the Acting Head of Planning Services considers reasonably necessary.
