Resolved that the minutes (previously circulated) of the meetings of the Committee held on 14th and 22nd December 2010 be confirmed as a correct record.

Matters Exempt from Publication

Minutes:

Resolved, in accordance with the provisions of Section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972 to exclude the press and public from the meeting during consideration of the item on the exempt from publication part of the agenda on the grounds that their presence could involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act, and to record that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information in order that discussions and deliberations of the Committee with and about candidates for the post of Executive Director, City Regeneration were not compromised and so that the confidentiality of information provided by candidates was protected.

The Committee confirmed as a correct record the not for publication minutes of its meetings held on 14th and 22nd December 2010.

Appointment of Executive Director, City Regeneration

To consider an appointment to the post of Executive Director, City Regeneration.

 

(Exempt – paragraphs 1 and 2– information relating to any individual and information which is likely to lead to the identity of an individual.)

 

The public interest in maintaining the exemption is so that discussions and deliberations of the Committee with and about candidates are not compromised and so that the confidentiality of information provided by candidates is protected.

Minutes:

The Committee interviewed candidates for the post of Executive Director, City Regeneration.  It decided to offer the position to David Edwards on a starting date and at a salary to be decided by the Head of People and Equalities in consultation with the Chief Executive.
